Vinyl decking in Cochrane
Decks here get more wind and more sun than anything in the city. Hillside lots, big views, and weather that finds every shortcut a previous contractor took.
Built for what a hillside throws at it
A west-facing Cochrane hillside takes chinook wind at full strength and afternoon sun with nothing in the way. Vinyl is made for exactly that: one welded sheet with the edges carried up behind the siding, so there is nothing for the weather to get under.
That exposure is exactly why a welded membrane makes sense here. There is nothing to re-coat, nothing to re-fasten, and no open joints for wind-driven rain to get into.
A lot of Cochrane homes also sit on walkouts, so the deck is over living space and the drainage has to be designed rather than guessed at. We build the fall in and run the vinyl up the wall, behind the siding.
Thirty minutes from the shop, so estimates and warranty calls are straightforward.

Local questions
Will wind lift the membrane?
No. It is fastened down and fully bonded to the surface underneath, then welded. There is no loose edge for wind to get under.
Which colour holds up best in full sun?
Lighter colours stay cooler and show less. All of them are UV-rated, but on a west-facing deck we usually steer people away from the darkest option.
Do you service Cochrane acreages?
Yes, including Jumping Pound and the Springbank side. Longer access can add a bit for material handling; it is on the estimate up front.
How far out are you booking?
Estimates within days. Install dates depend on the season, and spring books up first.
