Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect the information you share when you request an estimate or get in touch.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Your privacy matters to us
Wooddragon Contracting builds vinyl decks in Calgary and the surrounding towns. This page explains what we do with the information you give us when you ask for an estimate or get in touch, written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
The short version: we collect what you type into our forms, we use it to get back to you about your deck, and we do not do anything else with it.
Consent
By sending us an estimate request or a message, you agree to us using the details in it to contact you about your project. You can withdraw that at any time by telling us (call, text, or email), and we will stop and delete what we hold.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, through one of two forms or by contacting us. Nothing on this site collects anything in the background.
Estimate request form
On our contact page. All six fields are required. We cannot book a visit without a way to reach you, a place to go, and some idea of what we are looking at.
- Name
- Phone
- Address or neighbourhood
- What do you need?
- Tell us about the deck
Short estimate form
At the bottom of our homepage. All five fields are required. It deliberately does not ask for your email, so it stays quick to fill in on a phone.
- Name
- Phone
- Neighbourhood or town
- What do you need?
- Anything we should know?
The “what do you need?” options
Both forms offer the same list. It tells us what to bring to the estimate.
- Brand new deck
- New home build
- Full deck replacement
- Vinyl over my existing deck
- Waterproof walkout or balcony
- Not sure yet
If you call, text or email instead
No form involved, but we still end up holding:
- Your phone number or email address
- Whatever you tell us about the deck
- Any photos of your deck you send us by text
From the job itself
Once we have been out to see it:
- Notes from the site visit
- Measurements of the deck
- The written estimate we gave you
- A record of the work, if you go ahead
What we never ask for
- Payment or credit card details: nowhere on this site
- An account or a password: there are none to create
- File or photo uploads: the forms do not accept them
How we use your information
Everything we hold is used for one of these, and nothing else:
- To reply to you about your deck
- To confirm a time and book the estimate
- To measure the deck and put a written price in front of you
- To answer your questions while the job is running
- To honour the warranty afterwards
That is the whole list. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to a mailing list.
Data retention
We keep enquiries for as long as it takes to answer them, and job records for as long as the warranty on the work runs. That way we can look up what was installed on your deck years later, which is the point of a warranty.
If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we are required to keep a record of the work for legal or tax reasons.
Information sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, ever. We share it only where the job actually needs it:
- A supplier, when material is being ordered for your deck
- The City, when your deck needs a permit issued in your name
- Authorities, if the law required us to
Data security
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and land in our email. We keep the number of places your details live small on purpose: the fewer copies there are, the fewer there are to lose.
No method of sending information over the internet or storing it electronically is completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If you would rather not put something in a form, call us instead.
Third party services
Both forms are delivered by Web3Forms, which passes your submission to our inbox by email. It does not use your details for advertising.
That is the only third party involved. This site uses no analytics, no advertising pixels, no cookies, no embedded maps, no chat widget and no social feeds. Nothing here tracks you, so there is nothing to opt out of and no consent banner to click.
Links to our Facebook and Instagram pages and to our Google Business Profile will take you to those companies’ own sites, where their privacy policies apply rather than ours.
Your rights
At any time, without giving a reason, you can ask us:
- To see what we hold about you
- To have it corrected if it is wrong
- To have it deleted
- To withdraw your consent for us to contact you
Ask by phone, by text, by email, or through the contact form. There is no process to go through; you are asking a small company that will simply do it.
Changes to this privacy policy
If what we do with your information changes, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave the old wording up.
Contact us
